SEASON UPDATE

2025-2026 Long Island Waterfowl Season

Season Update

 April 29, 2026

This past season was cold, with rain and snow, A lot of snow!

December and January were as good as it gets with many groups killing limits of ducks. On our farm during the season between 3-4000 ducks came to feed after dark many nights. The last day of the season we had a snow storm that grounded ducks until the last 45 minutes when it let up. 2 blinds bagged over 48 ducks in the last hour! After the season we had 33 inches in February making it tough for waterfowl to feed. I plowed an acre or two removed snow and paid the farmer to spread corn. Some clients donated money to help off set the cost.\ In 2 weeks over 20 tons of corn was spread . It enabled over 7000 ducks and 6-8000 geese to survive. Waterfowl remember so next season they will be back. Next season hope to see you out there!
